Quilting for Beginners (Non Member)

Description

Get started quilting in this fun, four-week hands-on class presented by Tisha Sandberg. We’ll take a relaxed and stress-free approach to learning important steps for successful quilting. Tisha’s classes will take place on May 25th, June 1st, 8th, and 15th from 6 PM – 8 PM. You’ll cut fabric, construct blocks, and learn about pressing and layout to make a 40” x 40” quilt top. We’ll cover ideas for adding borders, quilting, and binding methods as well.

Participants must already be comfortable using a sewing machine as this is not a learn to sew class. You are encouraged to bring your own machine however classroom machines are available upon request.

Information about fabric and supplies will be emailed after registration has been completed. Class fee is $135 for Berrien Artist Guild members and $150 for non-members. The class will be limited to 8 participants. Register in advance at  https://boxfactoryforthearts.org/classes-workshops/.  A supply fee of $25 will be paid directly to Tisha Sandberg at the first class.
