Description

Learn to Sew (Experienced Beginner), a series of hands-on sewing classes by Tisha Sandberg, will focus on confidence-building machine and sewing skills for the absolute beginner. Classes will be held at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad Street. The four-week series will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays – April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18 in the Box Factory’s third floor conference room.

Build on basic skills in a project-based class for those with some sewing experience. Learn to sew curves, make a zippered bag, pillowcases, or other projects to choose from based on your ability. Work at your own pace with lots of available help to make this a low-stress class.

Prerequisite: Learn to Sew class or other sewing experience

Supply fee will vary by project

There will be a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 8 students for the classes. A non-refundable class fee of $100 for Berrien Artist Guild members and $110 for non-members will be charged upon registration. A supply fee of $20 will be paid directly to Sandberg at the first class.

Tisha has taught and exhibited in a variety of both art and quilting venues for many years. Hands-on classes for children and adults of all ability levels have been a focus, as well as spending time creating her own work. She has a studio at the Box Factory for the Arts.
