Art Quilting Class (Non Member)

Description

Art Quilting with Tisha Sandberg will be offered at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St., during a three-week workshop on June 22, 29 and July 6. The classes will meet from 6 to 8 pm in the third-floor conference room.

Throw away all those preconceived notions and learn to create your own unique piece of textile art.  You’ll work without a pattern and discover ways to overcome that “blank page” feeling.  Then spend time making small elements from scraps and other odds and ends that will be used in the creation of a 16”x20” art quilt.  Quilting options, embellishment ideas and edge finishes will be covered and lots of materials will be available to experiment with. Guaranteed fun and low stress!  Bring your own sewing machine or use a classroom machine upon request.

Participants must be at the advanced beginner sewing level. The class fee will be $100 for Berrien Artist Guild members and $110 for non-members.
