Throughout the exhibition of the Michiana Annual Arts Competition called “MAAC in the Box” each juried piece of art was up for the title of People’s Choice. From mid-May to early-July the community had the opportunity to vote online for their favorite work of art among the 122 featured works in this year’s show.

The winner of this year’s MAAC in the Box People’s Choice Award goes to Diane Andreoni of Benton Harbor, Michigan for her oil painting, “Michigan Coneflowers”. Diane will be awarded the prize of $100.00.

Thank you to all of those who participated in the contest/fundraiser. Each vote was also a generous donation benefiting the Berrien Artist Guild/Box Factory for the Arts. At the close of the fundraiser, $2373 were donated online.

Having met the challenge, given to the organization to raise at least $1500, the generous Bob and Joan Judd, of St. Joseph, Michigan,  gave an additional $1500. Our total amount raised before administrative fees are subtracted is $3873.00. The Judds have continuously supported our non-profit organization, not only monetarily, but with their participation in the Berrien Artist Guild, Workshops, Events and more. We are grateful to them and to all who understand and appreciate the importance of the arts in the Michiana.
