For the October Guilded Gathering or Berrien Artist Guild Member Meeting, Chad Eckersley plans to talk about promoting yourself as an artist online in 2026. Some of the topics will cover his experience building community through art online and in-person, how to sell art online, and how to remain consistent when facing burnout.

Chad Eckersley is an artist, illustrator, and community arts organizer based in Southwest Michigan. Originally from the Chicago area, he works under the name “Sapo” making paintings, mixed media, and independent comics. He is the founder of Garden Comics and the creator of the Wantedman comic series.

As Hunt Studio Coordinator at Krasl Art Center, Chad helps lead the development of the Richard Hunt Studio Center in Benton Harbor, an effort to preserve the legacy of the renowned sculptor while opening new opportunities for artists and the community. He also serves on the Gallery Committee at the Box Factory for the Arts, teaches art classes, and co-hosts Drink & Draw, a weekly gathering in Benton Harbor.
Across his work, Chad is committed to bringing people together, supporting fellow artists, and making the arts more accessible.

We hope to see you there!
