Jennifer Hauser, a licensed architect and full-time artist, has been selling work in the Box Factory’s Art Market for two years. Inspired by funny stories and nature, Hauser’s work creates a whimsical atmosphere; a momentary escape to a childlike vision of secret worlds with unlikely friends.

When asked about her creative process, Hauser says, “It is very intuitive. I begin with a basic idea such as a grouping of tall trees as a framework for the composition and then just begin drawing. As I draw, I fill in the blanks and add funny little details that I think of as I go.” Hauser has been an artist all her life, but she’s been working on her masonite pieces for 6 years. Something you may be surprised to learn about Hauser is that she grew up on a dairy farm and has never milked a cow. Instead, she was responsible for cooking the family dinner!
