Artist of the month
Anne's print monotype images are generally non-representational. Since each is one-of-a-kind, she develops them through experiment with form and color. During this process, they take on a life of their own and begin to speak to her—this is when the titles often occur to her, sometimes descriptive but more often whimsical, as in the works of Paul Klee. The oil colors she uses are enhanced by the printing process, and appear more intense than if merely applied to paper or canvas.
