Art Galleries

Three galleries, the Robert R. Williams Gallery and the Heartha Whitlow Gallery on the main floor, and the Riverwalk Gallery on the lower level feature work by Berrien Artist Guild members and invited artists. The exhibits, which change about every six weeks, begin with an opening reception that is free to the public. A Box Factory Gallery Committee reviews and selects regional artists interested in displaying work in our galleries. See what's on In the Galleries. (pdf: 640kb)

  • artist studios

The Box Factory is currently home to more than 30 local artists who are also members of the Berrien Artist Guild. Each artist establishes hours independent of Box Factory hours. Several artists offer private instruction and classes through our education program.

  • featured artist

Elaine Harju wears many hats, both literally and artistically, at the Box Factory. Her studio is #9 on the Main Floor; but she's seldom there. When not teaching, serving as Board secretary, curating a show, tweaking the gift shop, or chatting up the Box, she's probably in Chicago, Toronto, Italy, or wherever the Harju wanderlust takes her.

  • art classes

Classes and workshops are offered in the visual arts as well as ceramics, writing, theatre, filmmaking, languages, crafts, and music. Fees vary for each class and generally are discounted for members of the Berrien Artist Guild.
